Institutional coordination to advance public policies and strengthen the data center sector.
The government relations of the Brazilian Data Center Association (ABDC) are managed through a partnership with the TechReg Institute, a reference in strategic articulation in public and regulatory policies in Brasília. Led by partners Erich Decat and Leonardo Santos, experts with extensive experience in strategic communication and government relations, the TechReg Institute works to ensure that the sector’s interests are heard and considered by decision-makers in both the Executive and Legislative branches.
With direct involvement in the National Congress, regulatory bodies, and the federal government, the Technology and Regulation Institute (TechReg) monitors and influences the regulatory and legislative environment, promoting legal certainty, regulatory stability, and encouraging investment in the data center sector.
Through this partnership, ABDC strengthens its institutional representation and ensures an active and strategic role in all discussions relevant to the sector’s future, from sustainability and innovation to energy efficiency and cybersecurity.
The Brazilian Data Center Association (ABDC) is available to the press to contribute with analyses, data, statements, and specialized sources on topics related to the digital infrastructure sector, such as data centers, cloud computing, energy efficiency, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and industrial policy.
With more than 200 members, ABDC represents the entire production chain of the data center sector in Brazil and actively works to defend a stable, modern, and sustainable regulatory environment, capable of attracting investments and transforming the country into a global hub for digital infrastructure.
Press services and institutional relations of ABDC are managed by the TechReg Institute, an organization specialized in strategic articulation in Brasília, with strong involvement with the National Congress, Executive Branch agencies, and regulators.
Composed of experienced and dedicated professionals, the Government Working Group reinforces ABDC’s commitment to representing the sector’s interests in a transparent, qualified manner, aligned with the challenges of Brazil’s digital transformation.
Taking a proactive approach, the group seeks to build bridges with government agencies and legislators, presenting proposals, positions, and solutions that promote the sustainable expansion of digital infrastructure in the country.
Among its responsibilities are monitoring pending legislation, such as the MP Redata MP of the ZPEs, identifying regulatory obstacles, preparing technical notes, and supporting ABDC’s institutional activities in Brasília.
